all. Personally i am all for an annual subscription fee and i think we
should go for it.

It is very easy to say that we shlould have an annual subscription fee , but
actually implementing is a real tough job. Who will go after the collections
?? We never have more than 15-20 members at the ILUG-Cal meetings and even
out of these 15-20 members more than half of them are regulars and the rest
never attend the meetings.
So collecting subscription fees on a monthly basis is logistically
impossible. I'm sure that even if we go for an annual subscription not more
than 15-20 people will shell out the money. It is not that the rest dont
want to pay but when and where will they pay. You cannot expect the members
from IIT-KGp to come down all the way from KGP to pay their 300 rupees or
expect any of us to go there and collect the sum from them. At the same time
we cannot ( and we should not ) refuse them membership to the LUG.
Does anybody on the list have any ideas about how to solve this logistical
problem of collecting the fees ?
