It is better to keep it vague and allow the office bearers to decide on
what should be the course of action should one member continuously
refrain from paying monthly subscriptions, rather than throw somebody
out because she defaulted.

This is a quaint feature of the English language which has
percolated since the Elizabethan era. Rather than saying "his/her case
may be considered" or "he/she may have some problems", it is considered
more suave to express applicability of either gender using only the
feminine, rather than being obviously biased when I say "his case may be
considered", keeping in mind that this list has representations of either
gender. I wonder whether this literary chivalry holds in a ourt of law.In
tune with most members of the group (i guess), I am a strong campaigner
against gender bias in any form or kind.
Reminds me, somebody had said a long time ago on this list some
thing to this effect that _he_ would recompile his kernel in pure delight
if he eve saw a female penguin waddling near the SXC Rock. ;) .

OK, if you give me a locational distribution of the members , maybe i can
coax and cajole myself to cater to a larger number of people in and
around south calcutta.

Surely thats a problem, but I guess thats better than no-cash-in-hand
statements ;)
