Yes, you are right , all of us are busy with our own work and we cannot
expect anybody to spend all his time just chasing members for their
subscription fee. Chasing peolpe also does come at a very heavy cost
 phone, email , visit and not to talk about the time spend ). Who will bear
the cost of chasing ?

The only way out that I can see is to scrap the idea of subscriptions and
build up fund by voluntary contributions from willing members. But again
the question of accountability and transparency arises , for which i think
we need to register ourselves as a society.

Indra, if i remember correctly you were talking about a uniform constitution
for all the local LUGs in India. In the last meeting you had said that it
was in the draft stage, what is its status now ?

I had used IIT KGP just as an example, what i meant was that we have many
members who dont stay in Calcutta how do we manage to collect money from
them ( unless they send a Money Order/Draft/Cheque etc own their own).
