Hi,
I have couple of quick questions regarding the
connection between GTK and gnome.

* Does something written in GTK run better on Gnome
environment. Is it possible to write something
exclusively using gnome without using GTK?

* Can the same logic be applied to KDE and QT?

* It seems certain GUI toolkit for X window system is
married to some specific desktop framework. Does it
have any technical or historial background. Any
resource will be highly helpful.

* Other than two mentioned above, we do have others
like tcl/tk, fltk, fox toolkit, wxwindows. Are they
compatible/suitable for any other X-window manager.
