perhaps, "nirdaam" and "nihshulka" both contain the market aspect more, and
although "mukto" has a suggestion of openness but that again refers to
market (free vs. open source).
few days ago there was a thread posted in fsf-friends, 'economic aspects
of FLOSS'. that may be a good reference of *freedom as in free market*.
question remains, how do we prefer to call it, commodity or concept? like 'free' part of 'freedom' when appended with 'software' which can only be conceptualised as a commodity, we get, a 'hansjaru' with 'haate roilo pencil'.
if not contextualized, being commited to the origin of a word may not serve that good
what about *(a)mulya*? reference: '.....amulya bale a-mulye nen' - kaji najrul the term may contain/carry 1. the social potential of value addition by free software and so the interrelation between 'information society' and its physical counterpart can be addressed 2. the 'mukto' aspect in 'free market' (value vs. price) 3. the patent disputes and the question of copyright (derived from the question of value and price) still, yet to coin it in a fashion to incorporate the flavor of the collective/community aspect of the whole thing.
