I just threw in this idea of LUG-Bengal in the ring as a random thought.
I don't know if people
have tried to do this before, and I definitely didn't knew about other
open source groups in
Bengal. The reason why it will be good to have a LUG-Bengal is because,
it will help in better
coordinating of the activities of different user group, better
utilization of resources, will improve
communication, and people from well established groups can help other
fledgling groups, etc.

But right now, I think that we should first concentrate on LUG-cal, and
strengthen and consolidate it.
In my opinion registering LUG-cal is definitely the way to go.
I think discussing the steps and procedures required to get this done
should be on agenda for this
Saturday's meeting.

This should not be an issue this time.

This will requires some perseverance and effort, and hopefully things
will be better this time.
As mentioned in other posts we need to spread awareness about LUG-cal in
schools
and colleges. Also, we need to make sure that the LUG keeps on doing
some constructive
activities, otherwise the initial excitement will soon fizzle out.

Hopefully, this mistake will not be repeated and anyway we already have
a website and
a domain name.

> o No idea of inclusive partnership (taking in the various LUGs)

I hope this can be rectified. I will contact the members of Linux
Junkies, Nixals and polarplayers.
Factionalism is not going to do anybody good. If there are any other
group which I have missed
please let me know, I will discuss things with them also.

No forking, only reunification.
