>From the above conversation its clear that there is nothing like the *best* distro. It all depends on what you want. If you are newbie, ubuntu or linux-mint might be easier for you .It's all a matter of your choice. You can choose whatever suits you best or what you think suits you better, that is the flexibility linux offers you. Maybe, If you mention specific needs, someone could suggest a distro that will fill in perfectly .
