Hi Vishnu, As Sasi sir said, if you don't mind losing the other gnome settings, remove the following folders( of which name starts with a dot) form your home folder
.gconf .gconfd .gnome .gnome2 and reboot your PC. The default gnome desktop will load with 2 panels.
