Dear Anoop,
     YOU are wrong. Do not compare Linux with Windows at this
aspect. unfortunately installating software at windows is easy. I am a long
time advocate of open system who even do not use flash player and not even
gnash. But I must say the truth.
     I have just install XYZLinux Distro. (yes name is XYZLinux), It do not
have VLC. May you please tell me your address so that I can come to your
house for collecting VLC software for Linux.
