Opposing google groups does not mean, I automatically oppose ISPs. Plus, we have to chose our battles carefully. In case of ISPs, much larger concern is about our privacy. ISPs can track everything we do online. There are efforts like tor, which tries to address this concern. And if we want to change how ISPs work, that is a much more difficult struggle and needs mass support. We may have to launch such a movement when things becomes completely unbearable. Again another difference is, we consider software as knowledge and that is the reason for opposing proprietary software. In case of ISP, it is not about knowledge, but a physical service. -- പ്രവീണ് അരിമ്പ്രത്തൊടിയില് You have to keep reminding your government that you don't get your rights from them; you give them permission to rule, only so long as they follow the rules: laws and constitution. -- "Freedom is the only law".
