I understand the frustrations of non-Tamil speaking people in the list. Please try to understand the other side and from where he is coming from. I have had a few conversations with Amachu and know how much he fights for the use of Tamil in many situations. It is considered illiterate, rude, countrified to use Tamil in many places (classrooms, high end public places, student groups). When a person fights for his right (and the rights of lakhs of others who are excluded due to language), he might have developed a stubborn streak never to compromise anywhere (like RMS insisting on Free everywhere). It is fanatical, illogical, yes. But we need more such idealists to make our world a better place and more inclusive. Please bear with a couple of mails a month for the sake of our less privileged brothers. Consider these mails as a statement that someone who can not converse in English also can participate. When traffic in Tamil increases to say a couple of mail every day a separate mailing list might make sense. Thanks for your understanding. best regards, Ma Sivakumar எல்லோரும் எல்லாமும் பெற வேண்டும் http://masivakumar.blogspot.com _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
