Pretty easy., The place where a mailing list is hosted doesn't change netiquette in this context. English is the established medium of communication in this mailing list. You can't point to a single LUG in India (or probably globally) which allows mixing languages like that. Why should this one mailing list be the exception because a couple of people can't be bothered to tag mails to enable rest of us to do filtering?
