My rev A had this problem about 3 years ago. CD tray started making this
loud whirring sound a few months after we got the iMac. We got the same
message "this cd is unreadable by this computer" Sometimes it would read,
but only after a souple tries. We actually had to take it in to get it
repaired. My Dad said he thought it might have to do with the CD tray
spinning to fast to read. We had to take it in to get it fixed or slowed
down somehow.
