For about $150 you can get Photo Mechanic 2 Lite. It's great for organizing,
renaming and moving photos around. It doesn't allow you to edit photos but
does launch directly into your image editor -- like PS -- from the app.
Allows you to tag photos and gives a nice preview of everything you've got.
And it's relatively simple to use.

Use it to handle a ton of digital photos at work.
