In Apple monitors FBT's from the Performa Plus (primary shorts to common), Multiple Scan 20 (primary shorted turns), ASD 17 (high EHT and arcing in CRT), 14" RGB M1212 (whistles), Multiple Scan 720 (FBT shorts and splits/bulges), Apple 16" (EHT short to beam current detect pin) iMac tray loader (EHT rectifier shorts) all fail regularly, others hardly at all if ever. There's no particular manufacturer trend, as these were made by Philips, Sony and LG (Goldstar). Re the rev a - d iMac there certainly is a noticeable trend, but is it more obvious as the rest of the early iMac's are relatively trouble free?
