Hi,
What do you mean by died? Does it not start? How far do you get in the
startup sequence if at all? What is the fuse you replaced? Is it the pram
battery?
Assuming the computer makes the chime and then shuts down, it has a bad
analog board that must be replaced. This happened to me about two months
ago. You can also attach an external monitor to continue using your trusty
iMac if this is the problem. If the computer starts up fine then you know
that is the problem. The good news is you can get a larger monitor, 17 inch
or 19 inch. I have a 17 inch monitor now and love it. You will need an
adapter to attach the monitor unless you get an Apple monitor.
