I have just obtained a PowerBook G3 Lombard to go with my rev. B iMac. As both of them have IrDA infrared capability, I would like use it to transfer files.
I did go to the Apple website and found an article that explains how to do this. The article says that the Infrared Control Panel must be present, along with the extensions IrDALib and InLanScanner/PPC. I have the Control Panel and the IrDALib Extension, but I do not have the InLanScanner/PPC Extension. I do have an extension called IrDA Tool. Does anyone know whether this replaces InLanScanner?
