Yes...that's definitely one thing I noticed.  All of flat panel iMacs 
that I have seen on display look quite grubby.  It is the kind of look 
that the cheaper finish IKEA furniture has after a few months in a house 
with kids.  I will admit that the eMacs do have a much nicer finish than 
the Flat Panel iMacs ....the monitor is a good size too...

That's one great thing about my Indigo 500 mhz (summer 2001).  It is 
absolutely silent. It's amazing compared to my Bondi Blue which was 
quite loud.

I guess in the schools, the sound doesn't really matter - at home, it 
could be more annoying.
