The eMac has some good features over the older iMacs but the 
design....YUCK....I just hate the look of them.  I know that they had to 
make them more durable for the school setting but I have no idea why 
they went to such an ugly design.   And you're right about the 
color...given all the color schemes available for the iMacs, it is a bit 
surprising that they would go for white (especially with the dozens of 
little grubby hands that will be touching them in the schools !!).

I bought first a Rev B Bondi Blue iMac and then the slot loading Indigo  
iMac.  I really like both but the Indigo looks even better and the 
design is fantastic.  I plan to keep this iMac for several years now, 
even if I get a new mac.
