I don't think so. The original poster for this thread that he was only
interested in doing everything he had always done. That would mean no new
software.

When you buy a computer, you should forecast is software upgradeability. How
long away that would be is a matter for debate, but I'm fairly certain it
would be less than 4 years in most cases.
