I have a question about the terms "reconditioned" and "six-month
warranty". I thought that one could buy "refurbished" equipment, meaning
factory-refurbished, warrantied for one year as new, and eligible for
extended AppleCare protection like a new machine.

Is "reconditioned" a MacConnection term? If so, is the machine actually
eligible for AppleCare extended protection?
