What, you think that Microsoft would make a web browser that runs faster on
the Mac OS than on Windows? =o)
Seriously, with all that RAM you've got, the first thing I would do is make
sure that Internet Explorer is getting a nice big chunk of it. To do this,
you find the Internet Explorer application on your hard drive in the Finder,
select it, choose Get Info, Memory, and increase the Minimum and Preferred
sizes.
With over 500 MB of RAM in your iMac, I don't think that 80MB Minimum, 100MB
preferred would be totally unreasonable, but I'm sure other people here on
the list will chime in with their recommended memory allocations.
