Switch browsers (to Opera or Mozilla) and upgrade to Mac OS X. Cutting 
DOWN the amount of disk cache and pumping UP the RAM allocation should 
help some.

Well, her chip is rated THREE TIMES HIGHER than your chip, so even with 
the Mac's great efficiency it's clear who's got the faster machine. 
It's also been widely acknowledged that Windows browsers, being better 
tuned to that OS, do indeed load pages faster than Macs. Of course, 
they also catch viruses faster than Macs too ...

1. Replace your hard drive with something larger, you're clearly 
outgrowing it. Or maybe it's time to think about upgrading the machine 
entirely.

2. Try running other browsers such as Mozilla or Opera. Be sure to 
manually allocate them LOTS of RAM (like 60MB or what the heck 100MB!)
