Hi Dale, iMacers: To start off I'm going to tell you how I have things set up here on my iMac. Remember, I use Eudora, so this might be a bit different in mail.app. I have Eudora set to "leave messages on server" and to "delete from from server when emptied from trash". Doing it this way, if I haven't read and deleted my mail with Eudora, it will still be available on the server through EarthLink's Web Mail (as unread) if I choose to read it there. If new mail comes in and I read it with Web Mail before Eudora, but don't delete it with Web Mail, Eudora will download it as new mail the next time I have Eudora check for mail. If mail.app is set up to delete from the server immediately, then anything you download with mail.app would not be available to read with Web Mail. Any mail that you download with mail.app will stay on your iMac until you delete it and as I stated above will show as unread messages in Web Mail. Also, any mail that you send with mail.app, will ONLY show up in mail.app (assuming you choose to save sent messages) and any mail you send with Web Mail will ONLY show up in Web Mail (once again assuming you choose to save sent messages). A way to work around this, I suppose would be to CC yourself, so that the message would be available to the other software. All of the above assumes you're are connecting to a POP mail server, which you are. There is another kind of mail server called IMAP (which I have no experience with) and works differently. I believe that Apple's .mac e-mail accounts use IMAP. I hope this makes some sense, if not ask some more questions and I'll try my best to answer them. -- Regards, Allen iMac (Rev.
