An (expensive?) tape drive? A CD-RW multichanger? Another harddrive (RAID?)?
Above mentioned DVD-Writer? Via a server, which "the thech people" (in white
robes;-) keeps backing up, when users are sound asleep?

The most common answer to "How do you backup your (very important) files?":
Backup?? Followed by various questions to what backup means, or why "I"
don't have to backup but everyone else should or... whatewer;-)

/jas
(Who don't backup his home puter cos when it crashes, it's a puters way of
saying: You have to many unimportant msg's, bookmarks, old programs you
newer use... and this is the oportunity you have been wating for to get rid
of them, format the drive, install a new system and download fresh copies of
IE, OE and Acrobat Reader... *g* And as you learned the hard way at work to
keep copies of really important files, me the home puter know you have a
(unmarked) CD-R of those files somwhere. May I also add, you have those very
hard to recreate backup of adresses, CV etc in your safe box at your local
bank, which of course is closed now, but will open Monday morning... )
