Which brings up the question: Can the hard disk in an iPod be
replaced with another one (after the warranty has expired, of course!)

I see tons of them in Staples, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, etc.

It may have had something to do with the back-up software used. I use
DiskFit Pro because it backs up in Finder format. From the back-up
disks it is just a matter of drag-and drop to restore individual
files as needed

Ah, but much more economical! I have no reason to lug my back-ups
around. Another drawback to using the iPod, is that eventually, you
are going to have to decide which is more important: your music or
your back-ups

Maybe when prices come down some more I might look into getting one
of the new blue laser DVD burners; I just wish the manufacturers
would get their act together and standardize on ONE format. This
"beta vs. vhs" repeat is stupid.

Dennis
