I can do you one better than that.

A friend of mine bought my old Rev B iMac when I got my new computer (a 
Flat Panel Combo Drive iMac).  Before selling to him, I wiped the hard 
drive and re-installed the operating system and all software from 
scratch.  He wanted to use OS X, so in order to make sure he was running 
the latest version, I installed it from the FLAT PANEL iMac's CDs.  In 
fact, I installed exactly the same software configuration on the Rev B 
as I'm using right now on the Flat Panel.

If the install CDs for the newest model iMac can still be used in the 
Rev B, I'd say you'll have no problems.  :)
