I would think they should. In addition to my indigo iMac DV 400mhz I also have a Power Mac 6100 on which I have installed system 9.0.4 from my iMac's install CD. I had to install most of it manually, using a little shareware program called Tome Viewer, which lets you view and extract things from the installation tomes, but it wasn't really that hard. Some of the system components were iMac specific so I had to find replacements. The iMac mouse and sound control panels had to be replaced with more "generic" control panels from the system 9.2 update. For some reason I could not find a CDROM driver that would work in either the iMac CD or the 9.2 update so I had to steal one from system 7.5.3. Incredibly it works. In fact it probably works just as well as if I had installed system 9.0.4 off of a regular installation CD. :-) Now could you do that with windoze? I would think not.
