I didn't have any trouble whatsoever using my flat > panel's install disks in my old iMac, and I didn't do anything different. I used my DV/400's 9.0.4 install disk on a Power Mac 5400. The program said "Could not recognize this Macintosh" but when I installed on the iMac and copied the System Folder to the 5400, it worked fine.
