I used my DV/400's 9.0.4 install disk on a Power Mac 5400. The program said
"Could not recognize this Macintosh" but when I installed on the iMac and
copied the System Folder to the 5400, it worked fine. I think each Mac OS
installer has a table of Gestalt IDs that it is supposed to use, having seen
many other installers do this as well.
