I don't think that IE is the cause of your problems, but you could try another browser, such as Netscape, Mozilla or iCab. Do you also get the "connection terminated because other side is not responding" message when using email? If all else fails, try calling EarthLink Technical Support at 800-719-4660, they may be able to help you or provide an unlisted access number.
