Then how can some RAM retailers guarantee that their RAM can "max out" the 333 iMac at 512 MB? If I'm reading your statement correctly, you're saying that, for example, if I had RAM in one 333 iMac that recognized it as 512 MB (2 X 256) and then put that same RAM in another 333, it may or may not work in the second one? I've read on this list that it depends on the RAM module itself, along with a list of factors that made one particular type of RAM work or not work. Naturally, I can't remember what they listed...
