Nope, it's not as simple as it sounds. I recently got an old CRT iMac (graphite, 400 mhz g3)and am having difficulties with it. I'm running on OS X (10.1) and 512 megs of RAM. For some reason, the only option for connecting to anything is ethernet. I've been all over network prefernces, and there is no internal modem to select, shich is annoying since I have a phone line plugged into the modem port right now. Please believe me when I say this is not just a simple matter of telling me to select internal modem under "show" in the network preferences, or something like that. I'm sorry if I sound like a jerk, but I've had this problem for days, and everyone assumes that I can't just open my eyes and see the internal modem selection. If need be, I can take some desktop pictures to show where I'm coming from. A while back I bought an iMac for my dad, also running OS X, and I've been using it as a template to try and figure out the problem, with no luck. The options I'm looking for just simply don't seem to be there, and I don't know why. I've also tried working with OS 9 to get on the internet via dialup. All i get is a message saying that error -3170 occurred in that case. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance, Brian
