Hi Charles,

I was able to find an old version of DiskWarrior that my dad had given to me
sometime ago.  It did the job but I plan to get the OS X version in the near
future as I found it for a good price at the local Mac store.  They were
just out of stock when I went today.

I agree...I did wait too long to fix this, which would explain the more than
2 hours it took DiskWarrior to get everything sorted out and back on track.

I had really been trying to avoid an erase and re-install.   It is such a
pain in the neck but I have to admit that it is sometimes the best option
and is nice to start out fresh again.
