Absolutely. I'm running a 333 MHz processor in my original Bondi right now.

If you get a 266 card, make sure you apply the iMac Firmware Update to it after you install the card, even if it was installed with the original 233 MHz card installed. If the iMac doesn't need it, the software will tell you so.


I wonder if perhaps these are speaking of apples and oranges? I.e. The quoted response sounds like it could be talking about the "card" being the small board with firmware and the processor chip, whereas the original poster is talking about the whole logic board.
