I vaguely remember there being a 4-port router that has a regular phone jack built in for those times it might be necessary to use dial-up. This might solve your problem regarding networking the two computers, as well as needing to have an external modem (big question mark here), ie you'd be using the Ethernet port to connect to the router and then the router would handle the dial-up? I'm sure more knowledgeable folk will correct any of my assumptions. If you didn't want to go the router route for networking the two computers you could find a hub and go that route, but since the router and hub can cost the same $$, it might be better financially to do the router just in case you get highspeed at some point. 2d -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
