Old PC had 2 "Realtek RTL8139" 100 Base-T Ethernet Cards - Windows XP has
built in internet Sharing - Just set the others to DHCP and XP assigned them
a "192.168.x.x" address.
Mac OS X also has built-in one-click Internet sharing, and a built-in firewall. That may not be your solution, but it's worth noting.
