I thought this was old news. Apple (the UK recording company) did in fact come to an agreement with Apple (the US computer company) allowing them to use the name. Then later they sued when Apple Computer entered into what they considered the "music" business (I think it had to do with the midi abilities of either the IIgs, or an early Mac... not sure of the exact details). That was settled long ago (and in fact, had a system sound named after the issue... Sosume). I haven't heard of a new lawsuit, but with Apple now in the MP3 player business, and the selling of music business, I could see that depending on the previous agreements, they may again be in violation of terms and get sued again.
