Hi,

I have an iMac G4 (1.0Ghz) with SuperDrive. I have have (used) 46.33Gb of it!

I have an Ultra ATA 120Gb hard disc that I bought (was cheap), I originally bought it to go into my Celeron but firstly that means I would have to use the product of satan himself and the Celeron having a dying mobo (not quite dead yet but probably is now...two friends sat on it by accident!) so currently it is mounted into a rather nice black and white PC case and I think its 120Gb capacity would be much better served in the iMac. Although I suppose i could get a cheapo mobo and use it as a file server.
My questions are as follows:

-> What size HDD does the G4 iMac use? (standard or laptop)

-> What is the HDD interface?

-> Will Mac OS X read NTFS?

-> What size/type of ram does the G4 iMac take?

-> If i got a firewire enclosure for it, could the iMac boot off it? (just in case i ever wanted to)

->Has the 1.0Ghz G4 iMac have USB 2.0? - I have a USB 2.0 Drive and it doesn't seem any faster in the iMac than in a demon possessed box without USB 2.0 also the new version of the G4 iMac 'sports' USB 2.0....this placed doubt in my head about it.

(Don't shout at me Phil)

-> How much would I get if I part-exchanged this iMac for the (lowest model of) G5? - Would need screen too but got a 20" VGA...I don't think I would but I would like to know all the same...I would ask apple here, there used to be a really big apple centre near here (hampshire, england) but went donkeys ago. :-(

(-Out loud thought....me wants an iPod, that is a firewire drive...AHHHH!!! APPLE NEEDS TO RELEASE MAC OS X FOR IBM CLONES! - I am no businessman but if people could put OS X on a cheap PC box and they got a taste of Mac, (especially if they could duel boot with gods current plague) they might convert and apple would get more sales?-)

Thanks,
Dan
