Anyway, I've been trying to fax using the OS X fax program. The
instructions say that to get a phone number to show up in the fax phone
list (in the print dialog box) , you need to put the number in the
address book and label it as either a work or home fax number,

Is the fax program (is it still FaxStf?) showing up in Print Center as an option, you might have to add it there?

Yes it's FAXstf X - what I see in Print Center (and in the print dialog box is "apple internal modem" not FAXstf X (which is what I'm supposed to see, according to the instructions.)

I just read the instructions again, a bit more carefully and I see what I did wrong. I thought the fax numbers would show up automatically in the fax address list (in the print dialog box) , but you have to drag the Vcard over from the address book. For some reason, my eyes just skipped over that bit of information.

Thanks for the reply!

Donna
