I saw a USB connector that was a 802.11b wireless. Will taht work in
my Rev A imac for wireless? How about on a G3 beige?

Can I add 802.11b to a RevA or a beige G3?

Not through USB, no. The device you saw won't work with your machine in all probability, due to a lack of drivers.

I have seen 802.11b wireless breakout boxes that connect through ETHERNET (hotels that have gone wireless often have these for the benefit of customers who have ethernet but not 802.11b).
