Can I add 802.11b to a RevA or a beige G3?

I too would like to add wireless LAN to my G3/400.

However I want 802.11g.

Right. I want 802.11g too, but I figure that is a faint hope.

11g over USB 1.1, is kind of silly, since 11g is faster than USB 1.1 - but you can get 11g USB 2.0 adapters. don't know if any are mac compatible though. Linksys makes one:

after studying the packaging of my D-Link DWL-2000AP Access Point it says that it can be used as : "4) Wireless Client" does that mean that i could just get another one of these and plug it into the ethernet port of the G3/400 (or your RevA iMac) with the correct cable and do it that way? It has no software to install....all web based config.
