after studying the packaging of my D-Link DWL-2000AP Access Point it
says that it can be used as : "4) Wireless Client" does that mean that
i could just get another one of these and plug it into the ethernet
port of the G3/400 (or your RevA iMac) with the correct cable and do it
that way? It has no software to install....all web based config.

Sure sounds that way to me. I just checked D-Link's web page for that
model, they say that the Wireless Client mode is for "Wirelessly connecting
Ethernet Devices".


I wonder though if using this model for this purpose would be overkill, (and
a waste of money) when you can buy devices that act ONLY as a wireless to
Ethernet client, and probably cost less.

This is what I thought. All of the ones that i've seen aren't mac compatible :-(


What I need is either one that IS mac compatible or some kind of AirPort/PCI adapter.
