I don't know what ASM is, but I'd strongly recommend disabling ANY third-party "haxies" until you get the all-clear from the haxie maker (Unsanity.com has a page up specifically regarding these issues).
ASM + Application Switcher Menu I've replaced it with X-Assist. The haxie, ClearDock from Unsanity, was supposed to be compatible, but something didn't work.

I used the following from Unsanity in 10.2: WindowshadeX, Xounds, FruitMenu, and ClearDock. The first three restore features that were in Mac OS 9 but are still missing in 10; the last one makes the background of the Dock totally transparent so the Dock icons seem to float over the desktop. If Apple would get in gear and restore the features, then people wouldn't need to get the 3rd party stuff.
As for the Dock, I assume you've checked to be sure you've not just accidentally hidden it? You don't specify.
