Have your friend make a toast image of the CD. Then lock it
without mounting it. If you mount the disk image before
locking it it won't work as a bootable cd after you burn it.
After locking it drag it to the Toast icon and burn it.

Thanks for the advice, the only problem is that it was a real fag (English expresion as opposed to American) to get the CD, he doesn't live locally.

I recal burning bootable CDs with Toast 3 and 4 in OS 8 and
it was real easy.

Why can't I get it bootable after ticking the "Bootable" box ?

Is there no other way of turning a non-bootable CD into a
bootable one (I add copy so that no-one writes back saying
that one can't modify a burned CD-R...)
