As I remember, if you click the bootable checkbox Toast will verify that you have a valid system on it.
I recall it having done that before (in Toast 5.x) but it doesn't do it this time... ---
Do you have a CD burner?
Yes, the Pioneer DVD-RW in my MDD and my HP DVD+RW FW. ---
If so you might try making a Toast image from the disk, locking it, and burn it.
