Thank you, Kim, Al, and Jim, for your various insights on partitioning/not
partitioning. For the time being, I will leave the drive partitioned... as I
impatiently jumped in with both feet while awaiting a reply. I have both OS
9.2.2 and Panther on the first of three partitions. Not much else on there
yet. The kids will be using this iMac for games and homework, nothing
crucial at this point... so a good place to see how things work and get more
accustomed to X.3. My work machine is a G4 Quicksilver, still only running
OS 9. But now that I've just finished a job, I'll have some time to do some
backing up and transitioning to X.3 on the G4 as well. I have to admit,
there are some things I really like about Panther, and I can't wait to be
using it all the time... but the finder/folders scheme sometimes leaves me
confused... just where am I supposed to put my stuff?!
