Among the other suggestions, I have used an FTP server. Since Stuffit handles Zip files, I Zip them on the PC and send them up to the server and the reverse down to the Mac. In some cases an ISP will place limits on storage; 10 mb is common, so the transfer might have to be done in increments - upload -> download -> delete so as to keep under the limit.
