If it's a new iMac it should come with MacOS X (Panther), in which case
you won't need any special hardware or software like PCMacLan or Dave,
all you need is a null ethernet cable, so you can network the two
machines together via TCP/IP (not AppleTalk as the PC won't understand
this). Networking will be the best solution.

What about an Iomega, 100, 250, 1,000 meg 
removable media drive? They come in SCSI, USB 
and mains powered types and are (usually) PC and 
Mac compatible.

Very useful afterwards as temporary storage.
