I thought Apple's DVD Player could play PAL movies. I know their Apple
Video Player handles PAL inputs. Check to see if there is a preference
setting stating the format to play.

Although I would guess the region code would still be an issue (but if
you ripped the code out, then it might work).


Also, you can get cheap standalone DVD Players that are multi format. I
know Apex and CyberHome both made models for under $100 (CyberHome is now
out of business, but you may still be able to get the players). I believe
their multi format players could also easliy be both region hacked and
macrovision hacked (usually a certain sequence of remote control button
presses to turn off region codes and macrovision... any good DVD formum
should have the info)
