Faxing on the iMac has nothing to do with your Internet connection. It's done entirely through the phone lines INDEPENDENT of it. The iMac's modem simply duplicates standard fax protocols and allows your computer to call a fax machine the same way a stand alone fax machine would.

My Panther fax used to work great, but suddenly began to hold any fax rather than sending it. I'm thinking that the problem is with the modem since clicking the resume button immediately results in "The fax device is not responding." Is there a way to reset the internal modem, assuming that it is the fax device, of course?

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.
